The increasing globally requirement for precision, reliability and safety in the field of temperature, measuring and control engineering, which ranges from simple furnace construction right through to the construction of nuclear power stations, is behind the year-on-year increase in demand for mineral-insulated electrical cables.

 

Mineral-insulated cables consist of one or more wire-form conductors, which are fully sheathed with highly insulating mineral powder (MgO) and are pressed into a metal tube (sheath) produced from oxidation-resistant and corrosion-resistant material. Suitable forming steps act to ensure that the entire material combination attains the respective final dimensions. We supply this type of mineral-insulated electrical cable under the name ISOMIL®.

 

Differentiation is made between three groups:
